We at News Span Media have been writing about a specific topic for months now. How organized shared living spaces are robbing disabled people for financial gain.

This attached flyer is one of 30 we received in Kansas City from people who have been taken advantage of by greedy landlords. In an economy that is on the verge of collapse. The people on SSI are at the bottom of the economy. They struggle the hardest.

Yet People like the Sylene Love organizations which are not group homes or residential care facilities. They are shared living.

A room all to yourself is $900 per month. The typical SSI recipient only receives $950. The fact that Sylene shared living takes 98% of a person's money and leaves them with nothing is criminal. The renter must also provide their own food, bus passes, transportation and multiple other things. A typical cost for such things are around $200 total or more. Yet the rental is designed to make someone else rich at the hands of a disabled persons expense.

We reached out to Sylene Shared Living by calling the number on the flyer. From the second the lady who refused to identify herself answered the phone. She was unprofessional. One of our journalists disguised themselves as a potential renter on social security and the lady immediately began telling the rates. $780 for a small room shared with another random individual or $900 for a private room. She claimed her house has 15 rooms and she has 6 locations. We immediately became disgusted with this lady because we could hear the greed in her voice and we hung up on her. Then we texted her explaining what we were doing and called her out on her greedy organization. She threatened the owner of News Span Media as shown in the text messages attached to this article.

These shared living places are criminal and should not be allowed to run. However being expensive and renting small rooms for high cost is not illegal. It is morally unethical.

The mere fact that they take every penny a disabled person has is wrong. It is a type of legitimate scam. Designed to make the landlord rich and keep the struggling disabled person poor and without the ability to get the things they need and keep them under control. If the landlord controls the money they control the individual. By keeping them so poor they cannot get ahead or even get out of the black whole of cycling debt caused by said greedy landlord. They can't save money for deposits on better living conditions and are forced to stay under the greedy landlords roof simply because they cannot afford to get out.

This immoral act of greed is the single handed reason why most Americans cannot afford to live. They just exist and struggle.
