Abuse Of Power By Truman Medical Center Security

On a harmless trip through the hospital, CEO John Freeman of News Span Media and Big Tech Platforms was harassed by security.

Twice in a two day period. 

My name is John Freeman and I am a paraplegic and for a solid month I would go in the entrance of the Charlotte side of the Truman medical center, get on an elevator and use the skyway to get to the Holmes Rd side of Truman medical center. This is a safer preferred way to get from one side of the hospital to the other. Truman medical center has no other path for wheelchairs. All the open pathways have stairs. I would have had to go down 3 blocks and around a very steep hill just to go any other way. Which is dangerous because the steep Hill can push me out into traffic or cause me to crash into something or someone. 

So to avoid unsafe sidewalks and roads I travel through the skyway. For a solid month I used the skyway with absolutely no problem. Until March 16th. A security officer on a control freak power trip decided to harass me as I went from one side to the other. 

It is the only safe way to go for wheelchairs. Security wanted my Photo ID and other pieces of personal private information just to go through the door. I refused to hand over personal information just to go to the skyway as I was told previously was no problem. 

What started out as a harmless safe trip through the only accessible pathway through the hospital turned into an ugly standoff.

The security service requested personal information from me just to get through the door and then wanted to check my camera bag for weapons and explosives. John said this is really stupid. I have no weapons and you guys treat me like a terrorist loose on the airport.

I refuse to pet their ego. It's the principle of the subject. 

I refused to dignify their accusations with a response. 

I simply said nothing I have done is illegal.  I have broken no laws. All I was doing is safely going through one side of the hospital to the other because you have no other accessible means to do so. 

So I just rolled through and ignored securities harassment. Security followed me and harassed me the entire way. 

March 17th. John left his appointment and attempted to go to the other side of the building just as he has 30 other times that month with no issue. 

This time security locked the elevator prevented him from going to the skyway and threatened him the whole time he was there. Trespassed him because he refused to give personal information. John said he is coming after you people. He is going to give bad PR to the hospital for this violation of security and make it known that they do this. This is a protest. 

Security does not need personal information just to go from one side of the hospital to the other. And there is no law requiring people to give private information to these people. 

This is a government-funded hospital and is subject to federal law.. in federal law protects my right to information and not giving it to third-party sources. 

They abuse their power and they treated me like a terrorist loose in an airport. They trespassed me for simply not wanting to give personal information to them. And for stating that he is coming after them for this harassment and abusive power.  I did not feel that giving personal information was necessary and I refused to do so. 

When personal information is given to unauthorized personnel anything can happen. John is already an identity theft victim because personal information was given to people who did not respect that information properly. So as a result he refuses to give personal information to anyone from this point on. Security abused their power and violated my rights in doing so. 

Now I am coming after them. Not with threats and not with harm.

But  with a weapon that is far more effective than a violent.

Public relations and public opinion mean everything to hospitals. I am going to make it known that these security guards cannot continue to violate people's rights just for personal ego. Just so they can tote their dicks and say yes I get a hard-on when I tell people what to do. I get off on it. security literally has more power than they should. And when they get that sense of entitlement and superiority they wave it around like a kid that found his redneck dad's gun. 

They abuse their power when they are given power. And I am going to let them know and continue to let them know that they cannot do so. For the next year I am going to be a thorn in  there sides. Truman medical center is going to realize daily that they cannot violate and abuse people's rights by doing this.

Checking my bag for weapons is okay that's understandable. But I refuse to give personal information to these people.

There comes a time in everybody's life that they meet someone they should not have messed with. This time that is me. I own a very very big global News Network. I own a multi-million dollar technology company.

Just because I don't dress like it does not mean I am not powerful person and I'm going to use my power and my resources to make this hospital know daily that they cannot violate people's rights by asking for personal information and then harass them when they refuse to give it. 

Truman medical center will not get away with this.
