Your SSD will fail one day, just probably not from too many writes
The Terabytes Written (TBW) rating on your SSD sounds like a countdown timer to data loss. It's a useful way to estimate how long your SSD will last before wear becomes a concern, but it's not the death sentence most people assume. Most consumer NVMe SSDs are rated for 150–600 TBW, depending on capacity, which may not sound like a lot. In reality, your SSD is unlikely to die just because you write too much data to it.
