Google's reCAPTCHA is getting a little out of control
Online websites, apps, and services typically presume everyone is a bot until proven otherwise. That's why you have to complete those annoying "I'm not a robot" challenges while browsing — the ones that seem to get harder and harder over time. They're called CAPTCHAs, and that stands for Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart. In simple terms, CAPTCHAs and the more advanced reCAPTCHAs are simply tests that prove web traffic is coming from a real person, not a computer, AI agent, or other kind of bot.
