8 Excel tricks that I wish I knew when I had just started using it
I think Excel gets an unfair reputation for being complicated, but it's not. I've spent enough time in spreadsheets, for both writing and engineering work, to know that a handful of practical tricks cover most of what you'll ever need — and most of them are features that almost nobody talks about. None of these requires advanced knowledge, yet I sometimes see beginners who don't use them. All of them should be second nature for anyone who opens Excel more than once a week.
