With the release of his third studio album Glass Jaw late last year, Aries brought his 51 stop world tour home to Kansas this past Saturday. Born in Wichita, the rapper, singer, and producer often nods to his roots, making stops in Lawrence and Wichita feel especially personal. The crowd carried a sense of pride from the moment doors opened. In addition, fellow Wichita native and opener Tiffany Day added to the hometown energy, as both artists shouted out Lawrence, recognized family in the audience, and reflected on the early days that shaped their careers.
