Lady Frost eyes Major League Wrestling women's title, touts 'incredible roster'

Lady Frost has her eyes on the Major League Wrestling (MLW) Women’s World Championship and is willing to do whatever it takes get some gold wrapped around her waist.

Shotzi found herself a challenger in Lady Frost over the last few weeks after she rose in MLW to grab the title from Shoko Nakajima on MLW "Fusion" back in June. Frost came out to confront Shotzi on last week’s episode, appearing to declare herself the top contender for the belt.

"Well, if you've seen anything that I've done lately – because you did say you've been watching — I am a fighter. I have everything to prove and that's the No. 1 spot and I deserve it. That's it. It's as simple as that," Lady Frost told OutKick Dropkick in a recent interview.

Frost said she would give "everything" to get that championship.

"Literally everything. That's the goal," she said. "And I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get it."

Frost was one of MLW’s marquee signings this year to bolster its women’s division. She shared some light on why she decided to sign with MLW back in April.

"So, the conversation that we had was very valuable to me because they've been watching me for a very long time, not just my work in the past few years," she said. "And I think it's important for someone to believe in you creatively and as a performer in general. And I think they have all the confidence in the world in me. And that's exactly what I wanted to hear.

"I felt like it was a good fit because all of the women there are trying to prove something because they're either brand new, trying to make a name for themselves, trying to rebuild, or just make this women's division even tougher than it already is."

MLW also has alliances with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Stardom, which allows for the roster to mix it up with opponents from around the world.

Frost said those relationships were a part of the intrigue.

"I think I've done numerous tours in CMLL and that's a great fit for me. And then the girls of Stardom, obviously those are great matches," she said. "I love working those girls. And then there's the independents, which I feel like was very healthy for me to get back into creatively.

"It's not all about hitting your times and being on camera and doing things appropriately. It's reminding ourselves why we do this and what we're fighting for, and most times it's the fans, right? So, having a little bit of everything right now while focusing on that title for MLW has really been great for my career."

Frost is set to take on Corinne Joy at MLW’s Kings of Colosseum event.

The top stars on the roster will be on display, including Killer Kross, Josh Bishop, Diego Hill, Templario and others. The event will be free on YouTube, beIN Sports and Veeps.

"We have an incredible roster. We have great production. I think it's unique in its own way and it's not something that some people might feel overproduced in a way that feels artificial," Frost added. "I think it feels very raw and real. And you see so many different unique styles. And yes, we partner with CMLL, so you will see that lucha style. You're going to see that grittiness. You're going to see darkness. There's something for everyone."
